I have a local account and anytime we got the "reports are piling up" message from Ada it was maybe 3 reports that were less than 12 hours old. We never had reports older than 2 days at least since I started helping August 7th, 2023. I check everyday, if I wanted another mod's opinion of a report I left it up while I waited for a response but we never just ignored the reports. I'm not sure where Ada is coming from saying that the admins needed to hop in to resolve reports.
She went and removed/banned people that we had already resolved reports on, that was our main concern. We asked for her to let us know if there was any holes in the rules she wanted us to fill so the ruling is consistent with the rules we have posted and she basically just said she's going to do what she's been doing.
I’ve frequently seen misogynistic posts or comments removed only after 1 or 2 days which is basically useless on a platform where posts get most of their views and interactions in 1 day.
We remove them when they're reported or find them in the field. I go through most posts of the day but it's entirely possible I didn't click on every single comment section. The extremely long ones load really weird for me, I find that most posts with 100+ comments tended to be the issue but the community usually does a good job reporting trash comments pretty quickly.
We've had people assume that because a post was 1-2 days old, the comments were also exactly that old, so I'm not sure if that's what you're thinking of... on the more extreme side we've also had 7-day old posts still racking up new comments that I had to lock because it was getting out of hand.
