The military attempts to contain a manmade combat virus that causes permanent insanity and death in those infected, as it overtakes a small Pennsylvania town.
Doesn’t change the fact that Carpenter’s version is one of the best movies of all time imho.
Yet the old one is interesting as well. It’s not as engaging as the newer ones and the monster is a little lacking, but the dialogue is neat and unusual and there’s a crazy fire stunt.
