I am adopting 2 more dragons tomorrow and with our current dragon, a leopard gecko and a tree frog the cricket cost is going to get pretty high. I am thinking of starting a cricket colony and a dubia roach colony, I want to do both because it seems like I can get a cricket colony going in around a month if I do it right but the video I saw on dubia roaches stated it could take 7 months to start harvesting from that colony. I like the idea of dubia roaches as they are supposedly more nutritious and don't smell vs crickets but the long start up time has me concerned. Has anyone here set up one of these colonies? Are there any tips/tricks you have that you haven't seen in various YouTube videos? Do you recommend a particular video series over another? Thanks in advance.

We picked up Momo last night and currently have them in a 55 gallon tank, when they get larger we'll get them a bigger enclosure. They were being pretty spicy at the pet store yesterday but today when I picked them up they were fine and dozed on my shirt for a bit. Right now we just have a heat lamp for warmth but I ordered a heated rock which should arrive Friday.
