He killed two violent assholes who not only thought attacking people on the streets for their opinions is acceptable, but were dumb enough to attack and keep attacking someone with a gun in his hands. I give zero shits about if he wanted to do it.
It was not murder, since murder means killing illegally, which this was not. Not even if he was hoping they would attack him and went there for that purpose.

Whether someone is supposed to be in prison is not pedantism.
Orchestrating a scenario in which the only possible outcome is self-defense by deadly force sounds an awful lot like premeditated murder, to me. I think you should reevaluate what you consider pedantry.
So people attacking him for his opinions is the only possible outcome? Has your brain rotted away?
People attacked him because he had a big gigantic deadly gun and was goading a literal angry mob with the gun.
It’s now more clear to me than ever that you are intentionally acting in bad faith. What is wrong with you?
He has a right to carry a gigantic gun.
Carrying a gun is not considered goading by any sane person.
It absolutely is considered goading. If lifting your shirt to reveal a gun holstered can be considered a threat (one that police can legally shoot you over) then carrying a rifle at a protest and starting shit with the protestors is also a threat.
He didn’t go there to make his voice heard — he went there to intimidate and kill.
If a person threatens someone and gets attacked, he cannot claim self-defense. The jury decided he did not threaten them. It would have been murder otherwise and he would be in prison.
The jury also decided OJ Simpson was innocent. Get fucked, boot licker
So why don't we have you decide instead of juries? You clearly know better than the rest of the population. /s
