I recently found out that Screwbean Mesquite is ground into meal and flour and used in baking. As a kid we would chew on Mesquite Beans, but we never messed with these.

How was it? I've been ordering mesquite flour online because we don't have any species of them where I live lol.

I was unable to do anything with the Screwbeans this year because we got a large rain storm early in the season. And with Mesquite you are supposed to harvest before the beans get soaked because of a fungus.

My sister gave me a small bag of Mesquite flour, but it is barely enough to do anything with it. But I always enjoyed chewing the beans as a kid.
