I stuck with it because the side plots were interesting, but I dropped it once it become clear that the main story wasn't going anywhere.
The white space gives your brain a little break in between "panels".
Live2D Mayuri looks great, but the time leap animation looks looks it came out of a 90s cartoon.
Hopefully, the final version takes notes from what the anime did right.

I think it's possible, but most likely it's because that's such an unusual position (knee on knee is uncomfortable).
More often, you'd have some overlap.
