I personally would throw the dishwasher away, and before that, permanently damage it to make sure no poor soul picks it up from the trash thinking they scored a free dishwasher without knowing it was once used to wash literal shit.

I would never be able to ever eat anything from any dish every washed on that machine, but again, that's me and my personal emotional reaction to it. I understand that if it reaches 90C it technically kills all bacteria or something. But I would still refuse.

For that same reason I never buy used kitchen utensils, because I have no way to know what has be used for before.

And they are still missing the most important menu item "Stop after this track"

If you were the one being underpaid to do his job, you would do the same.

Isn't that true for most models until someone destiles and quantises them so they can run on common hardware?

Unfortunately I meant lemon juice, I saw a video once that said that if you don't have oil you can use lemon juice, and it kinda worked well for me somehow, however after reading your replies I just searched and it seems that using lemon juice is really not a thing.

Thank you for calling this to my attention as I will stop using lemon juice.

Empty spaces > What shall we do now?

"What shall we do now?" Is basically the part 2 of "Empty Spaces" but was removed from the album as it wouldn't fit the vinyl.

The song is still present in the film, and a boxset if I recall

This is my personal experience with 100 dollar guitars, do not take it at face value.

I used to use ~~lemon juice~~ when my guitars were new, worked pretty well, after a while your own grease from your fingers kinda acts like the ~~lemon juice~~ and you oil the fretboard just by playing.

Also, another protip, if your steel strings start sounding dull, instead of spending money on new strings you can wash them with anti grease and let them soak in boiling water and you have a free new set of strings. (Just be careful coz thin strings like to prick fingers.)

Edit: So, some comments called to my attention that I may actually be doing a disservice to my guitars by using lemon juice. Some years ago I saw a video that said that if I didn't have lemon oil that I could use lemon juice instead and it kinda worked somehow. But searching for it online and I can't find anyone recommending this, so DON'T USE LEMON JUICE if preserving the instrument is a priority. Instead use lemon oil.

Analogue simulation: Surge FX's tape Calf Vinyl

Compressors, gates and equalisers: Anything by LSP

Limiter: x42 seems to be a clean and save limiter LSP seems to be more tunable and a bit dirtier and potentially louder.

Saturation and distortion: Several good options on surge fx

Guitar sim: Guitarix.vst (also includes a Neural Amp Sim host)

Synths: Surge Zynaddsubfx Odin2

Sampler: Liquidsfz DrumGizmo (very resource intensive)

There's ofc tons of stuff I haven't tried, but these work very well for me

I used to love Calf, but plugin version seems be have its GUI broken on some plugins for quite some time and it seems to be rather hard to fix judging from what I read online. LSP is more feature completely for most usecases anyway.

Also I read sometime ago that calf has some serious phasing problems? Sounds good to me but I'm not an expert.

Some calf plugins I haven't been able to replace yet, like the stereo tools, and the psychoacoustic clipper.

I'm something of a musician myself, and it saddens me that I can't find any active music production or audio engineering communities on Lemmy.

BTW, would be interesting having a community dedicated to free licensed/copyleft/0cc/creative commons/non profit music.
