Yeah, I hear that. Although, I’ve travelled many thousands of blocks in Minecraft worlds, I’ve never travelled tens of thousands, so the limits in Luanti work for me. The increased world depth in Luanti seems more beneficial to me. YMMV
Currently, the world dimensions are larger than that (according to the wiki):
“Minetest's world is a huge cube with a side length of ca. 60000 blocks. Each dimension (X, Y and Z) ranges from −30912 to 30927.”
That seems like a question for theists.

I think that when critically thinking about an article, it’s worth considering if an article is an opinion piece.
In this case the article is an opinion guest essay, the stated goal for which is to “offer readers a robust range of ideas on newsworthy events or issues of broad public concern from people outside The New York Times.”
I think it is a mistake to assume this article reflects the position of the New York Times because they chose to run it.
It’s an opinion piece.
