You're going to borrow-checker hell now

It does bring up the interesting conundrum: is there one "base" universe? Then how did that start? Makes no sense. Is it turtles all the way down? That also doesn't make any sense. And yet those are the only 2 possibilities (assuming a few intuitive things about logic and reality, which is a whole 'nother thing...).

That would be amazing if they did, but I think you missed the part about human rights being on the line if you don't strategically vote for them. We're aware it sucks.

You said "and if not" which is binary, but "if [predicate] [x] and if [predicate] [y]" is not generally exhaustive.

Ohhh, you read the "and if" as being exhaustive. If they said "either... or" then I'd be with you, but they just listed 2 possible scenarios.

That's still downtime, it just doesn't reboot firmware

It bugs me that people will call anything with a positive second derivative "exponentially increasing". I can do one better: it increases busy-beaver-y! Is that fast enough for people??

X has network transparency, that's why I can go to x.com. Bet you can't go to wayland.com!

I'm pretty sure that commenter cited that reason as why it would be a bad idea.
