Yeah for sure.
This hurt my soul, I dated a NARC that used to love throwing my personal phone, not their own. Luckily that was during the years when phones only costing 100-200 dollars. Now these fuckers cost 1000-1500 dollars.
This is tough but it's sounds like the User didnt have backup drives. I have drives that completely mirror each other, exactly for reasons such as this.
As a noob to Linux, reading Gentoo Handbook & Arch Wiki has made me not only understand a PC better in terms of software management of hardware but understand Linux. I am nowhere near being able to actually use Gentoo. I installed Arch once, that been far enough for me with Linux. I know the people that wrote those guides need to be funny for Presidency because this is how we need to run the world. LOL
So your a generous tipper then, most people don't do any forms of tipping, not people nor projects that you clearly see someone put their whole heart & soul into.
No, I've never deleted an account. I made two accounts accidentally because I didn't understand how Lemmy worked with Instances, 1 I didn't use an email so when I got approved I forgot the PW I created & couldn't login back in. This is my 2nd try & because I don't know the PW for the other one, it's not deleted. Assuming you're thinking of someone else. Anyways I understand Lemmy now!
Torrents for sure.
My niece is given a iPad from the school with Roblox installed on it. Along with whatever programs they preinstalled for school. I don't think there is any plan to get kids off of social media at all! It's about getting data on everyone else, not actually "the kids".
It's not just for porn anymore though. My new phone required it to use certain applications. Facebook requires it to sell on marketplace. As for conversations about it, all of this went to supreme court at least 6 months ago, spoilers, they lost in terms of protecting our privacy. There are days THEY win inside my head & I assume they're recording & adverty within my dreams. you don't even need to be a tin-hat wear crazy to believe things like that anymore.
What the what? Seriously? I've never in my life, thought you know what, I'd like to pay more money. This is true of rich or poor.
I don't know. This application makes going back into a back/forth conversations, such as Reddit does. I might need to look into a GUI Client that runs Lemmy for Android instead of the browser.
