If you can get a tiger through the door, I don't think anyone is going to argue with it.

The extra fees may sound unfair, but as long as my baby can scout her own food it all balances out.

Should have specified Felis catus

[-] marcos@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

Well, it said "Cat Cat".

People should turn the autotranslator down. And stop messing with word capitalization!

That's my cat's name...

...is your taxonomic nomenclature.

Data you are supposed to be observing the behavior of 21st century humans, not interacting with them. You are in danger of violating the temporary prime directive. We don't want another Sarjenka incident.

Perhaps it's cumulative. 200lbs worth of cats total.

[-] jaybone@lemmy.zip 19 points 1 week ago

That’s a lot of cats.

Do you know if they actually check? My leopard has let himself go a bit and may not be typical.

[-] Maiq@piefed.social 30 points 1 week ago

Sad Khajiit noises...

[-] HertzDentalBar 23 points 1 week ago

If I let my Leopard eat the landlord's face I won't pay any rent. Sounds good.

$35 a month pet rent...

Fuck the capitalistic system, may the landlord's all die.

Do you have the address been looking for somewhere to rent that i can keep my Leopard?

[-] Grandwolf319@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 week ago

So a small female leopard would be allowed?

[-] Catoblepas@piefed.blahaj.zone 15 points 1 week ago

Two leopards, there’s a two pet limit!

[-] sunbrrnslapper@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

If you pay the $250 deposit and $35/month pet rent. 👍

Monthly pet rent?! Is this a pet sitter?

[-] FatVegan@leminal.space 7 points 1 week ago

I would assume it's rent and that's why there is a 2 pet limit. Kind of insane.

[-] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 days ago

I don't think ita unreasonable to do so, but it should not be in addition to the deposit. Should be one or the other.

Like, over time it's more likely for damage from pets to build up and can easily get over $250 after a year or two.

But good luck getting over $250 damage in 2-3 months.

So I would see it reasonable to charge per month per pet, in the assumption that there will be damages to fix building up over time.

[-] pupbiru@aussie.zone 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

deposit is the only acceptable thing here… rent? no way! you don’t pay rent per person in the house. the landlord is losing nothing per month for your pet

the potential damages come from the additional deposit/bond

[-] HertzDentalBar 1 points 5 days ago

So a pet should have a deposit or added rent but not a child? Or a second tenant? Is none of this the point of an overall damage deposit

Slippery fuckin slope.

landlord can't legally charge more for children

[-] HertzDentalBar 1 points 3 days ago

Hmm I wonder why, maybe because they tried and people were sensible enough to push back.

they would charge per occupant if it wasn't for those regressive pro child birthing laws

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Seems reasonable
