I wonder how many rocks have only had contact with me. Millions of years of sitting around, just for some bored dipshit to skip you into a body of water, never to be touched again. I'm glad rocks can't feel.

Yeah, fair. Considering how long we asserted that fish and infants don't feel, just to discover that we were putting them through agony, I shouldn't assume that rocks don't also feel. If so, magma has some horrible implications.

I dunno, I don't see why a rock would prefer being above or below water. They don't have to worry about breathing like we do. Might nice for them to get a change of scenery after all that time

I'd imagine that rocks would prefer to avoid being in water (especially moving water) for erosion reasons. Limestone and sandstone especially.
