The only ones from this year that I played were all part of a game jam that I entered.

My favourite (apart from my own entry, Runaway Rails of course) was "Things you can do with two hands".

It was a pretty rough year for good VR releases IMHO. All the stuff that came to my mind were actually released last year.
The Crysis VR mod went 1.0 this year and is pretty good. Technically cant be nominated for the steam awards though.
On Quest the biggest Release is probably that new Deadpool game? Maybe i check out the unofficial Pico port. But i'm too burned out by superhero media tbh.
I scrolled through all the VR games released on steam this year and these games stand out to me atleast:
So in hindsight my first sentence in this post isnt entirely true. Not great, not terrible.
I purchased all the big VR titles but i'm waiting to play them on the galaxy XR whenever i can get my hands on it. So i can't really say what my VR game of the year is yet. I've been enjoying battlemarked and roboquest VR lately.
Edit: i've had glaring issues in battlemarked that i wish i could refund the game but can't since it took me 5 hours to get this sick of the issues and not finding ways to work around them. Only game in my life i've rage quit because of game mechanics issues and design flaws.
I am still playing Alien isolation and Moss 2 LOL.
Not sure if it was released this year, but the Metro VR game is quite good.
Haven't finished it yet, but Ghost Town.
