I am new to Mlem and new to Lemmy. One thing I wish I could do is mark all existing posts for my subscribed communities as read, so that I only see things that are new to me. I know that I can mark read by scrolling, but I could probably scroll for days and not find the end. Is there a keystroke I haven’t found to mark all posts as read? Thanks in advance!

There is no button for this, and unfortunately this would be tricky to implement. If you want to only see posts made recently, you could consider sorting by “top”.
