We have homelessness in the west only to warn others to stay in line or live on the streets.

The problem America has with capitalism is the same problem that Neural networks face: excessive overfitting in an effort to minimize loss. Some of the methods used in NNs to prevent overfitting could potentially work in a market economy too.
