Has anyone tried or tested the whole Vasoline/peanut butter filling? Lol like how does that even work?

Do I pause the print and just fill it with peanut butter? (JK how hilarious would that be) But really I don't know what is meant by that tip haha

Don't do PB. The supp creates a vacuum effect. PB will suck backwards and coat your bcg and your buffer and spring.. It will cause your BCG to jam especially with a super safety. It's a bitch and a half to clean out. And then you get to try to clean HARDENEDED and burned PB out of your baffles. Don't ask me how I know, definitely never tried it. However, red axle grease on the other hand 👌

I personally havent printed it but putting vaseline in a supressor isnt anything new, it reduces the db by a decent amount, although you will want to re apply it every time you go out, just put it on your finger and smear it around inside the blast chamber, this is the typical way done on normal supressors.

maybe on the outside ;) , but realistically you want something thicker more gel like.

Wire pulling gel for running cans wet. Available from most Lowes or Home Depot.

This. I have a bottle of wire pulling gel, and a syringe with a larger opening. Put the syringe against the open flip cap on the bottle, upend it, and draw about 5 cc's of gel. Squirt into the blast chamber of the pistol can, and tap can until the bullet path is clear of gel. Works great for about a magazine before it burns off, and is noticeably quieter.

As another post says, do not use wire pulling gel in cans you are shooting full power rifle ammo through.

And you put it in the blast chamber?

I personally have never done it. I'm too lazy to add stuff to a can before I shoot ;)

Reading online : https://www.recoilweb.com/suppressor-enhancement-making-a-can-quieter-173840.html

From the article : We should note that this practice is only meant for rimfire and pistol-caliber suppressors.

Rifle cartridges carry much higher pressures and adding liquids to the inside of the suppressor can make for a potentially very unsafe environment — so it’s best to leave them out.

Water is an obvious choice for an ablative for a suppressor, though any nonflammable liquid will work (some even swear by Coca-Cola). Placing a tablespoon[ish] amount of water inside the first chamber of the can and swirling it around will help negate the FRP issue, and the next few shots will be quieter.

However, the water will burn off quickly, and the suppressor will return to normal function with a magazine. Another popular option is using petroleum jelly inside the suppressor. Once again, about a tablespoon amount in the blast chamber works well.

I have used the wire-pulling Gel on my Octane45, but honestly, the difference in sound isn't worth the hassle. It's a fucking mess when you have to clean the can (which I do regularly, because I use the can for .22LR target shooting a lot) I ended up buying a sonic cleaner to make cleaning my can easier, but the gel is really not needed in my opinion.

Use glycerin, or wire pull lube.

Light machine oil would also work.

Just a couple of drops is all that is needed.
