Yep! I recognized the bastard the second I saw him and was shocked that they brought him in for this moment. However, from a representation perspective of crossing from one universe into another, it's an extremely beautiful way to do it.
I cried in the theater when Kirk died at the end of Generations. I was 12 years old and sitting next to my dad who, looking back on it, was definitely emotional too.
That's extremely moving. Thank you for demanding that I watch it. I literally can't stop crying in the kitchen.

I basically grew up in a world were Kirk and Spock were a normal part of the background of our lives ... seeing Shatner and Nimoy was just part of growing up.
This really made me feel sad, nostalgic, happy, bitter and overjoyed ... thanks to these people, my life was a bit more fun and happy and it still us through communities like this.
I haven't had a chance to watch. Need to prepare myself for it in a safe space, me thinks.
