How to turn every room into a panic room:

Step 1. Enter room Step 2. Panic

Repeat steps for all rooms.

I just turned my backyard into a panic yard.

[-] Today@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I've been on lots of panic airplanes.

Seems legit and much more affordable then what the article suggests.

Yeah, they're talking about putting in a steel frame and exterior door...

Like most interior walls aren't just drywall.

Death traps. Do you think the people in the burning houses in Greece enjoy their basements right now?

In case of emergencies you actually only have two choices:

  1. Get the fuck away from the emergency.
  2. Cover your ears with your hands. Bend your head under your knees. Kiss your ass goodbye.

Yeah really. The only people who need to worry about "bad guys breaking in" are in witness protection. Your wet tile floor in the bathroom is more dangerous than an intruder.

How many people are coating their tub and bathroom in nonslip flooring and grip bars? Only old or disabled people. But that's what actually gets you.

Dog owners as well. When it comes to bathing, my girl grows for sets of additional legs that all move in different directions. Without proper grip we both will break some of our limbs.

The only people who need to worry about "bad guys breaking in

Eh... "On average, there are some 2.5 million burglaries occurring every year."

[-] KevonLooney@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Compare the number of people hurt or killed by burglars vs. tile bathroom floors. I'll wait...

Every room is a panic room if you panic in every room.

I read it as "picnic room" and now I'm compelled to throw a plaid tablecloth over my comforter, grab a wicker basket, and do "lunch in bed."

[-] knobbysideup@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Or just don't live in the city.

[-] orca@orcas.enjoying.yachts 2 points 1 year ago

I'm already panicking in every room anyway. Checkmate, Lifehacker.
