In most cases its useless,

Sometimes when I retell a story I'll mention either age or race and then their gender, but I do it on everyone of my stories even to other Latinos.

I usually defended people who would get bashed for it because I do it and people wouldnt bash me

But then it was my brother who I started noticing things about that would irk me.

He's paranoid and honestly prob has some type of BPD but when he tells a story its different than when I am just being like "oh some white lady did X" or "I helped out this latino kid".

It's one thing if youre in a room of just white people and there's like one person youre trying to mention or point out--and they happen to be the only non-white person--because that is probably the most direct way to be like "oh its that guy over there".

What I noticed is that he will mention when someone is black, but not any other race.

Once you notice it, it's really apparent that when they meet someone it's on their mind that whole interaction and even if they're not like overtly racist, the fact that they like think about it past a certain level is kinda weird.

For this post tho, story is fake, dude def just said black because the trope of like "ah your wife is cheating on you with/ left you for a black man" which is both fetishized and stigmatized on the internet in a billion ways
