I can strongly recommend Ladyhawke if you like fantasy, although I am biased because Michelle Pfeiffer is one of my all time favourite actresses.
Also Matthew Broderick when he was young and still funny.

Since I found out about his murder, I can't watch him in anything anymore.
I had the same issue, but he was perfect in this role. He's not exactly supposed to be super likable at first either, so it's a bit like watching Kevin Spacey in a creepy role. And he didn't make any money off me, so I don't feel too bad.
That movie is great. I have my reasons for liking it …
