This is probably doing to be mine as well (the year still isn't finished yet). I do have a big gripe with Act 3 where (going to put this behind a spoiler block to be safe)
Exp 33 Act 3
Every character bar Maelle and Verso have no autonomy within the story and the fact the grander narrative boils down to the patriarchal protector saving the emotional women from themselves. It's a beautiful game, but this aspect of it really left a bad taste in my mouth.Exp 33 Act 3
To me the latter felt more like a parent-child thing than man-womanExp 33 Act 3
There's also Aline and it's ultimately Verso who gets to eject Maelle from the canvas.
