I think we are well past the point of a curse word making a meaningful change in perspective. Ya know, with all the people being dragged out of their homes and being detained and deported outside the law.
IDK, we're trying to appeal to the people doing the dragging-from-homes
maybe we should be taking their clearly fucked up moral sensibilities into consideration...
I think soldiers say fuck a lot
I take it you haven't had too much contact with the military - keep it that way, trust me.
Bucking the stereotype, there's an absolutely huge portion of the US armed forces who don't swear, like, at all. The 'noble service' subset, which was the most dangerous by far while I was in, skews heavily towards the "naughty words send you to hell" kind of religious nutbag. Killing people? That's fine, but don't you dare say 'damn'! I've had someone bleeding out, missing big chunks of their anantomy, saying "Gosh Dang" this hurts - it was surreal to work on someone where the programming ran deep enough that even traumatic shock couldn't shake it.
