After this ‘tremendous’ win for the EU’s traditional meat farmers, can they now stop their constant whining?

Thanks. I don’t get how changing the names to be more specific is upsetting.

Why change them? A hamburger is a description of a citizen from the city of Hamburg, nobody gets upset by the misuse of that word as a foodstuff. So why get upset if we now use it for the veggie variant?

No one thinks of burgers with Hamburg. There is no reason to change them but it’s also a non-issue either way. Many vegan/vegetarian subs getting upset over something that hardly affects anything feels like too much. It’s a dumb change but not like it’s hurting eating plant based

I can’t help you if you don’t understand marketing.

Unnecessarily rude. Marketing it as a burger doesn’t change anything if you call it a sandwich. Simmer down

They're focusing on making a non-issue illegal, one that disproportionately favors less sustainable industries no less, all while society is basically melting from other things that need to be addressed. it's like they're trying to speedrun the downfall of the USA

Comparing changing how non-meat is titled to the downfall of the US is crazy
