Came across a few posts saying he was a compelling debator.
Saw the post of him debating on school lunches. At one point, in response to being asked if he supports free school lunches, he calls the student stupid and says there is not a single child starving in America.
If this is what we consider compelling debate we're cooked.
He died doing what he loved, dodging questions.
Yep. And that's most of these right wing "debaters" do. They talk fast, with as much authority and confidence they can muster, try to make people feel stupid for not seeing the world the way they see it, and then moving on before they get called out for the bull shit they spew.
I imagine the majority of his "compelling debator" façade came from careful editing of the videos
I've been seeing clips of Mehdi Hasan giving people a solid drubbing. Would've liked seeing him thrash Kirk as well.
