As per title it's on my list of games to play. I'm running Linux are there any changes I need to do to get it to work Also what's a good channel for tutorials

I stitched together the last three updates, which represents about a year of DLC additions to the game. This is a nice reference for anyone else getting back into the game after a hiatus.

Accidentally deleted the last post I made about this... this is a full, high-resolution image of the fieldwork expansions additions!

I haven't been posting updates for a hot minute, so this one is very much delayed, but it's good to know the new blocks we can use if we buy the latest update!

Splitsie's Scrapyard Engineers scenario is pretty great, I've been enjoying it, and if you haven't tried it, it's worth a crack.

The concept is that you basically don't get refiners or assemblers, and only a limited number of blocks you can make. Everything else, you have to find from wreckage strewn about the landscape. The goal is to get to space.

In addition to the base modpack, I strongly recommend Improvised Experimentation. The author also recommends it, but tunes down the carry weight so that you have to use cranes more. I didn't, but a crane is still extremely useful.

Notable core gameplay changes:

• you can now claim authorship of NPC ships after you hack them so that npc pcu limits are correct (and your ownership is also correct)
• destroyed cargo containers now have a temporary storage item that drops with everything in it instead of puking out 750 thousand items and creating a lag bomb
• there is now a communications block that can send chat messages
• there is now ways to wirelessly send actions between grids, a HUGE advancement to automation

This is shaping up to be a fantastic core update. Looking forward to playing it.

I have connected my containers via conveyor tubes with some assemblers. The tubes and all parts are green and working. But for some reason, I can't move objects from the containers to the assembler, to disassemble them.

Do you have any ideas what could be the reason?

Is it possible to paint only parts of block's? For example there are Reinforced Conveyor Tubes with some sort of protection around the tube. They seem to seel a room airtight.

Is it possible to paint the tube in yellow/orange and the protecting outer parts in the color of the walls? Every time I try to repaint this block's, the whole block get the new color.

No further engineering required. The grid has been successfully launched, and is no longer located in the hangar.

Clang would launch this thing through the nearest wall on any server I've played on. Why?

I actually really like a script called "iQueue", which allows you to set visual quotas of all the materials you need.

Sometimes you find builds like this on the workshop that really floor you with just how great they look.

Sure, you can escape the fallout... but will you escape Clang?

How can I actually see how full the hydrogen tank is? This is always displayed with 0/total quantity in the station's inventory. Apparently it seems to be full, because hydrogen is only produced again (the ice decreases) when I open a room into space. Is this just a bug or is it intentional? Or is there a possibility to display the filling level in percent or absolute?

I definitely wonder if it will do well on a server, but either way this is pretty amazing. The "Sparks of the Future" map had something similar, for anyone who hasn't experienced that scenario! That map is actually an incredibly inspiring build by Keen that will give just about anyone who hasn't seen it yet some new inspiration.

I'm genuinely curious if this would work out alright on a live server. Unfortunately, I did not see a workshop BP associated to the place I found this. So, it serves merely as an idea for now, rather than something we can all play with in-game.

Sure, you can put big, nasty guns on your ship... but don't forget to put enough interior turrets if you're playing on a multiplayer server.

Hi there. Since I removed my Reddit account, I'm really happy to find a new home here. Hopefully beginner questions are allowed here.

Currently I'm trying to reliable get SE to work on Manjaro Linux. But this seems to be not an easy task. Currently it's the only game, I have tried, which tends to crash on Linux.

By all appearances, it is real. I just can't get over how well done it is, I suppose. I do think it might be sped up, but then the more I watch, the more I second-guess that...

Herr Doktor creates these planets and publishes them to the workshop. Many of his latest creations are also available (I believe exclusively) on the server he currently helps run.
